Do you control your Television or does someone else control it?

If you have not heard the FCC has said that it alright for Hollywood and other media has the rights to turn off any parts of your home theater that they do not want you to use.

The idea behind this is that if a network or studio sends a major motion picture to your TV either via cable or satellite they have the right to turn off your DVR or other recording devices.

That’s right big brother can reach out and control your TV.  Do you like this idea?  Personally I do not.  I do not like the idea of giving other people control of my TV but beyond that just think of what a hacker could do?
