Figures show that Traffic at online retailers rose 8 percent on the Monday after Thanksgiving.
This traffic is not shocking considering that almost all of the sites offered special promotions and had deep discounts on that day. Buy.com reported that Cyber Monday was their best sales day in their History! Amazon.com sales jumped 47 percent compared to a normal Monday.
Coremetrics, a retail analytics company estimated that the average shopper spent about $180 per online order which is up about 10% from last year. Coremetrics also estimates that online shopping this year will increase 3% over all this year. Considering the down economy this is a fairly good increase.
If your website sales things did you take part in Cyber Monday? If not why not?
