JavaScript for navigation can be a wonderful thing for people. However, Google and other search engines can not or do not read the computer code that creates/runs the Java Script.
This means that the computer spiders that go from page to page can fine the html links to “follow” the links and go to the next page. If all you have are Java Script or Flash menus the spider can not follow the computer code created by theses software menus.
The quick fix is add some old fashion html links at the bottom of the page. This has the extra advantage of being useful to people who do not like to use Java menus.
