Good news from Microsoft – Exchange Servers support

Why does Microsoft have such a bad reputation?  Well some of their problems are well earned such as sloppy programming and bad testing but other complaints about them are not totally their fault.

This one is good new because Microsoft has reversed themselves.   Traditionally Microsoft has forced people to upgrade their software by simply refusing to support a product any longer.  I should point out here that ALL computer and software companies do this.  So this is one time that saying that Microsoft is a bad guy is not an fair assessment.

That being said,  Microsoft has reversed its decision not to support Exchange Server 2007.  This means that there will be support for 2007 and 2010 exchange servers for the time being.

This doesn’t mean that Exchange Server 2007 will always be supported but there is some breathing room for a while yet.
